Aroflex Wedgepin Shear Torque Limiters are an improvised version of the conventional shearpin. The Wedgepin has it's advantages of easy removal as opposed to the shearpin. The Wedgepin has the following advantages :-
Maximum rigidity, no backlash - ideal for indexing or reversing drives
Easy Access, radially removeable - drive re-set in minutes
Clamping screws give positive axial location so the shear neck cannot be displaced from the correct position between flanges.
Equal load sharing with multiple pins on high torque drives provides very high capacity within compact dimensions.
Not effected by changes in temperature or humidity
